Frog Song Farm is an 8-acre family owned agricultural hemp farm in the heart of the Willamette Valley, (Woodburn, Oregon). We use holistic management practices; this means that rather than simply following "organic" guidelines, we are committed to shepherding the land in a way that actually improves vitality and resilience over time. We aim to honor intact ecological systems and create a model for truly sustainable hemp production. Our small yet diverse team handles the entire process. From seeding and plant care, through harvest, extraction, product creation and sales, we seek to operate with passion and integrity. Our mission is to bring healing CBD products to mainstream markets while doing social and environmental good. We are a pending B-Corps and partner with local non-profits to make CBD accessible to people from all walks of life.
We use Oregon-bred hemp seed and grow in biodegradable wood pulp planting pots. Drip irrigation is used to minimize water loss. We are a no-spray farm, using integrated pest management, specifically beneficial insects, to protect from insect damage. This year we have added a two-acre no-till test plot. We use cover cropping, mulching, composting, and pollinator-friendly plants. We are working toward becoming a zero-waste operation.
